Asian Surf Cooperative to Power More Asian Surfing Competitions with Mobile Scoring App Partnership with LiveHeats
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 15 February, 2018 - The Asian Surf Cooperative (ASC) announced an exclusive partnership with LiveHeats to utilize its cloud-based competition management and live scoring software system in surfing competitions across the greater Asian Region.
Under the partnership, ASC will work with local clubs, regional, provincial, and national federations to roll out LiveHeats’ mobile scoring app across all levels of competition in Indonesia, the Philippines, China, Taiwan, India, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Thailand, and where any other opportunity presents.
LiveHeats is the first mobile-first competition management and live scoring app that allows organizers to run world-class computer scoring at their events with one tablet or smartphone per judge, and a basic 3G or 4G internet connection.
With the rise of mobile connectivity across Asia, and the growth of surfing in the lead up to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, ASC can now support more organisers in taking their events to the next level of professionalism.
“The ASC was created to develop surfing across Asia, so we are very excited to announce this partnership with LiveHeats as we see this as a huge leap forward in making live heat scoring and event management accessible to all levels of competition in surfing communities all over Asia”, said Tipi Jabrik, Director and Founder of the ASC.
Organizers will enjoy features such as online entry and payment, automated heat-draw building, drag-and-drop scheduling, live scoring, and automated leaderboards. For surfers, it means real-time heat information like scores and requirements, as well as athlete dashboards which capture all surfer statistics and results over time. Fans will be able to tune in to see live scores from any device anywhere in the world.
“ASC was an early user of LiveHeats, and has been a key contributor in helping us build a super easy-to-use live scoring app,” said Chris Friend, co-founder of LiveHeats. “We’ve been super lucky to work with organisers, surfers, and athletes in 16 countries globally, and we’re thrilled to be able to power more competitions through this partnership with ASC.”
